Second Grade Books - What are your kids reading?

Do you remember your favorite second grade books; the ones that made you really fall in love with reading? Give that gift to your kids by providing them with a wide variety of books to choose from that will instill that same love.

Books for second graders should include fiction and non-fiction. They should include subjects that your kids are already interested in as well as new topics that will teach them about the world around them. Chapter books are also a great idea for 2nd grade readers.

Find out if your kids love adventure, fantasy, or mysteries. Teach them about values by exposing them to books about friendship, family, or the environment. Teach them about history, culture, and life by selecting books with a wide range of topics - everything from the civil war to civil rights.
