Alphabet Books
Your Kids Will Love
Alphabet books are a great tool for teaching reading, but they have to do more than just identifying letters with illustrations.
They should be colorful, creative and have stories your kids will want to hear over and over again.
ABC books should get your kids familiar with the different letters and the sounds they make, help them recognize rhymes, introduce them to new vocabulary, and should be enjoyable so your kids will want to read it many times.
Choose books that can be read aloud and that are also visually appealing to your kids. There are hundreds of books to choose from so make sure to select ones your children will love and you will love reading to them. This is the time that they will fall in love with reading and the books you choose are very important at this early stage.
Here are some of our favorite books that teach the alphabet and will make teaching reading an enjoyable experience for you and your kids. Don’t be concerned if your toddler enjoys a book geared toward older children or your first grader still enjoys a preschool book; they like what they like.
